Fall 2008
This year the Honors Program had a great selection of prospective books for the 2008 First Year Reading Project. The First Year Reading Project Committee, which consists of Honors faculty, staff, and students has come to a decision. The book selected for Fall 2008 is Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortenson and David Oliver Relin. This book follows the travels of Greg Mortenson on his quest to build schools in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Mortenson's humanitarian spirit provides evidence that we as individuals can make a difference in the world even if it is one school at a time.
2008 First Year Reading Project for the class of 2013:
We are greatly excited about the 2008 First Year Reading Project and look forward to the arrival of Greg Mortenson and David Oliver Relin on campus this Fall during Welcome Week.
