Staying in Good Standing
Students remain in good standing in the Honors Program based on a grade point average of 3.4 and participation in honors coursework. Students who do not maintain good standing as defined by participation in Honors coursework and grade point average are placed on probation for up to two academic terms. While on probation students may participate in all aspects of membership in the Honors Program.Currently, you must maintain a 3.4 GPA to remain in good standing. Entering first year students who participate in Honors coursework will have both fall and spring semesters to achieve the required cumulative 3.4 GPA. First year students who do not have a 3.4 GPA but have at least a 3.0 GPA at the end of the spring semester will be put on probation for two academic semesters. Those first year students who have a cumulative GPA of less than 3.0 at the end of the spring semester will no longer be eligible to participate in the Honors Program. Upper class students must maintain a 3.4 GPA to remain in good standing.
