Honors Book Club
The Honors Program and the Honors Student Council are excited to offer students the opportunity to join a brand new, student- organized book discussion club. The club is open to Honors students of all majors and grade levels. The only requirements are the ability to attend all club meetings, a $5 registration fee to cover the cost of books & snacks, and a passion for reading. The club will meet on Thursday nights at 7:30PM on the following dates this semester:
October 9th
October 23rd
November 6th
November 20th
December 4th
The first book selected for this semester is Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen. The novel centers on Jacob Jankowski and his experiences in a travelling circus called The Benzini Brothers Most Spectacular Show on Earth. The book was on the NY Times Best-seller list for over twelve weeks and has won numerous awards and great reviews.
In order to facilitate discussion, registration for this program will be limited to fifteen people. Registration will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. To sign-up, please email rago.s@neu.edu and provide the following information:
