National Collegiate Honors Council
The National Collegiate Honors Council is a national organization that values an atmosphere which promotes academic opportunity and challenge for Honors students and faculty. Within this intellectual environment, members of Honors communities demonstrate integrity, respect, and excellence. Through the Honors experience, participants realize enhanced personal, social, and intellectual development. The NCHC recognizes the importance of life-long learning and social responsibility in preparing individuals for an increasingly complex world. These beliefs and values are reinforced among member institutions through the collegiality and shared purpose of the NCHC.
Each fall the National Collegiate Honors Council holds its annual meeting in a major U.S. city. The four-day conference program features workshops dealing with the broad philosophical issues facing Honors education as well as the daily pragmatic concerns of Honors students and educators.
We welcome Honors students to join us at the national and regional meetings. Please contact Professor Maureen Kelleher at m.kelleher@neu.edu for more information.
