The Gladys Brooks Honors Award

The Gladys Brooks Honors Award was established through an endowment from the Gladys Brooks Foundation. The Award provides financial support to a student who is working on his or her Junior/Senior Honors Project. The award funds one student with a research stipend of $5,000.

The award is a resesarch stipend in the amount of $5,000


Eligibility Criteria

Junior or senior status

Good standing in the Honors Program

An accepted Honors project proposal of at least eight semester hours


Application Requirements

Personal statement outlining the Honors project and future career plans

Copy of the Honors project proposal

Two letters of recommendation from Northeastern faculty, one of whom must be the honors project advisor


The end product of the award will be the final project report required of all Honors students. The report should acknowledge support of the Gladys Brooks Honors Award. The award recipient will be expected to make a presentation of the project results at the annual Honors Program Poster and Banquet Event on March 31, 2008.
