Presidential Scholarship
In February 1997, President Freeland announced the creation of the Presidential Scholarship. This merit-based, highly competitive scholarship is awarded to only 12 of the over 300 students who apply each year.
Middlers with a cumulative 3.8 QPA who have demonstrated excellence in their major, liberal arts courses and cooperative education placement are eligible to apply for the award. Qualifying applicants are required to write an essay that demonstrates an understanding of, and appreciation for, the connections among the three components of their education. Students are invited to apply by the President's office.
